POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA Status: Director, Institutional Planning Exempt CATEGORY: GRADE: Administrator C JOB SUMMARY: Direct the development, implementation, and reporting on operational planning, learning outcomes, and strategic planning initiatives for the District. Direct and coordinate assessment of planning outcomes district-wide and by College areas. Direct and facilitate internal and community planning activities and initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 1. Direct the planning process for the District, and assist departments in the development, assessment and evaluation of operational plans. Presents results to College faculty, staff and administrators. 50% 2. Establish and maintain liaison with outside agencies and organizations, coordinate and facilitate community planning initiatives, linking community organizations to College programs. Prepares written outcomes of community planning initiatives. 15% 3. Direct and facilitate college in strategic and long-term planning initiatives. 10% 4. Direct and coordinate assessment research to include focus group research. 5% 5. Direct and coordinate planning responses to program review in instructional areas. 5% 6. Develop and distribute planning and College mission reports. 5% 7. Presents workshops on relevant topics to educational and research associations. 5% 8.
