POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: EXTENDED TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Director Director, Grants Management Exempt CATEGORY: Administrative GRADE: C JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the development of the EPCC District External Funding (Resource Development) Plan as directed by the Administration and Board of Trustees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Initiate or direct specific external funding development based on stated needs from within the District. 2. Direct the regular monitoring and review of all active grants; to ensure compliance with the stated objectives, budget and timely completion and submission of deliverables. 3. Plan the grant development strategies. Develop and direct the search plan for available external funding. Direct and coordinate the development of the system for identifying potential resources (opportunities) and distributing those to administration and appropriate faculty. YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 20% 20% 20% 4. Keep abreast of grant regulations and legislation affecting active and new external funding. Provide technical advice and information and advocacy within the College and Community. 20% 5. Plan and direct the compilation of a District and Community database of statistics to support grant applications from both EPCC and the community (on collaborative proposals). 10% 6. Participate at local, state and federal levels on key legislative funding issues. Provides in-house technical expertise and counsel; develop and present seminars and workshops. Serve as the liaison for coordination between the Grants Management Office and the College Foundation. 5% 7. EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years directly related experience. SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Skills/Abilities: Effectively use interpersonal and communication skills including tact and diplomacy. Ability of effectively plan and organize with attention to detail and follow through. Ability to oversee all phases of grant development. Ability to identify and recommend potential funding sources. Ability to interpret and implement applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Equipment Used: Personal Computer, Scanner, Audio Visual Equipment, and other equipment associated with a general office environment. Software Used: A variety of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and e-mail software.
