JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the College Access and Student Success: Research and Data
(CASSRD) Committee with all aspects of planning, design and implementation of program activities and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Coordinate contact with technical staff from the independent school districts,
EPCC and UTEP and collect information on their data systems.
2.
Create a system for organizing system documentation shared by the districts, including a dictionary of data elements and data codes.
3.
Collect, record, organize and categorize research materials; and maintain databases, records, and reports for dissemination with internal and external parties.
4.
Assist in the development of technical materials, including written and oral reports, workshops and/or presentations for CCASSDR.
5.
Handle administrative aspects of Committee meetings.
6.
Other duties as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Vice President of Instruction
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide work direction to assigned staff.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree with some coursework in education or social science research. and coursework or work experience with data systems.
EXPERIENCE: One year relevant work experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES: Must have a valid driver’s license.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Skills/Abilities : Basic knowledge of statistical practices and procedures. Basic knowledge or familiarity with data systems, including system design and documentation. Ability to collect information, identify relevant facts, and derive logical conclusions; knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods; ability to produce professional reports that effectively communicate ideas; ability to work effectively with other employees to accomplish organizational goals; ability to work effectively without undue instruction or supervision; and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Equipment Used: Personal computer, scanners, printers, and similar equipment associated with a general office environment.
3.
Software Used: PowerPoint, Excel and word processing.
