POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: EXTENDED TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Director Director, Student Leadership & Campus Life Exempt CATEGORY: Administrative GRADE: C JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the administration of the programs and services related to all Student Activities, Student Leadership, Intramural sports, College Organization and Student Government Association. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 20% 1. Develop a comprehensive student life master plan and develop and implement a student leadership training program to meet the needs of a diverse student population. 2. Provide leadership and advise the Student Government Association, Student Budget Allocations and approved College organizations. Attends Out-of-town travel with Student Government Association. 20% 3. Direct supervision of administrative, student life as well as full and part-time support staff and student staff. 20% 4. Monitor all budgets related to student organizations, intramural sports, student life, student leadership and organizations. 15% 5. Demonstrated achievement in creating innovative programs to improve quality of student life. Coordinate large-scale events such as boosting state and national conferences and special events. 15% 6. Actively participate in campus events activities and education. Act as liaison for the District’s Student Leadership efforts at the local, regional, state and national levels. 5% 7. EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years related experience. U SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated experience working with students; strong supervisory and budgeting experience; interpersonal skills to relate to students, faculty, administrators and staff; strong leadership skills; organizational ability. Equipment Used: Personal Computer, automated student ID machine, Fax, and Scanner/Printer Software Used: A variety of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
