First- Grade Curriculum Night Welcome, parents! Welcome to First Grade! We will introduce you to first grade and our procedures. Please feel free to ask questions at the end of presentation. This includes 20 minutes of reading. This should be recorded on the daily reading log in your child’s binder. Assignments are due on the following day. We will have a weekly reading and Letterland assessment on Friday. Parents keep Letterland information in child’s binder. PBIS-What is it? Positive Behavior Interventions and Support Proactive approach to school-wide discipline Promotes positive student and staff behavior Implemented consistently by staff and administration First Grade Binder Each night our 1st graders will bring home their binder with important papers and work.
