Facilities Services Weekly Update Meeting 2/32016 9:30 am Attendance: Pat, Rick, Kevin T, Kevin K, Wesley, Jessica, Drew, Fred, Daryl, Ron, Kelli 1. Current Projects- Current Projects a. Vangstad i. The change order for the structural (concrete) in the lower level was written with the wrong amount- we will need to see where we can get the funding- will likely have to cut the tuck-pointing project. ii. Glass for the stairwell has been ordered- still trying to get a date when it will be here. Shooting to get all this done during Spring Break when students are gone. iii. Ron is still working to try and get the door issue figured out along with the tile and carpet that still needs to be finished. The rest of the auditorium floor still needs to be done. iv. We will have an estimate on the signage either today or Thursday. v. Curtains have been ordered- don’t have a date yet of when they’ll be here. b. Wellness Center i. Jess will work on getting some numbers for the furniture. c. Heat Plant i. ONE will be providing an honest list of cut-backs with the recent budget cut by Friday. Wesley will take the information to Cabinet to discuss. ii. Will need to clean out the house that the Foundation owns next week. d. Housing i. No updates e. Master Plan i. Wesley has some updates- will be a main focus in the coming weeks. f. McFarland Stabilization i. Have information from Sandman- need to review. 2. Future Projects a. Projects ON HOLD i. Back Alley (paving, shelter) ii. Circle Hall Elevator Repairs (April ’16) iii. Flood Wall (Spring ’16) 1. Ron has a meeting on the 11th of this month concerning the Utilities in the Foss area. iv. Student Center Upper Lounge (Summer ’16) 1. Will be using some of these funds to repair the dish machine and the water tank. v. McCoy Guest Suite (summer ’16) vi. Robertson Guest Suite (summer ’16) vii. Field House Addition viii. Circle Hall Interior ix. Fine Arts Building (funding) x. Alumni Room Updates (planning committee & budget/estimates) xi. Track Repairs 1. Ron met with Border States and gave them a set of drawings. Luke will give us pricing for a full project and a partial project. 3. Events a. Kelsey has been doing more with events and will continue to do so until Kelli is gone. If something doesn’t look right or you have questions- please ask or bring it forward! She’s still learning and is doing very well but won’t know if something is wrong unless she’s told. 4. Safety/Training a. No updates 5. FAMIS a. No updates 6. Building Services a. There is now a sign off sheet on the freezer in Rhoades to ensure it’s checked every day. b. Still have the job opening and Rick would like to work on changing the description. 7. Maintenance a. No updates 8. Power House a. No updates 9. Other a. Performance Appraisals i. Ron is still working with Jennifer b. Preventative Maintenance c. Budget updates i. Looking for growth strategies and looking for areas to cut. All of campus is being asked to lay their options on the table for Cabinet to review and make decisions on priorities. ii. Ron suggested to have summer school classes held in Rhoades (energy efficient) to save costs. Ask people to make sure to turn lights off after leaving a room. iii. Rick suggested to cut energy costs as well by, for example, reducing the use of personal refrigerators and having people group together and use one large one. d. Please make sure to continue to de-ice daily. It should be priority to check your areas every morning.
