JOB SUMMARY: Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Development
Department. Assist in coordinating, scheduling and accessing professional development needs for the
District.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.
Assess professional training development needs and programs for the District.
Coordinate development and completion of district-wide training schedules.
Recommend and/or modify existing programs.
2.
Coordinate Annual Staff Retreat and other department programs. Research venues,
negotiate with vendors and manage the functions of the workshops/training
sessions. Prepare related expense reports.

3.
Monitor and participate in a variety of specialized training and support activities.
Promote and administer assigned workshops. Coordinate audiovisual equipment
setup and educational materials.

4.
Evaluate outside professional training opportunities. Make recommendations for
the District when appropriate. Develop and prepare support materials.

5.
Perform administrative support duties, including composing correspondence;
provide and verify the accuracy of reports. Maintain inventory of training
materials, audiovisual aides and presentation equipment.

6.
Perform fiscally related tasks to include monitoring of expenditures; prepare and
process check requests; purchase requisitions, budget transfers, and other journal
entries.

7.
Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years related experience.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURES: Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.

Equipment Used: Personal Computer and other equipment associated with an office
environment.

Software Used: A variety of spreadsheet, word-processing, database, e-mail, and presentation
software.
