POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Webmaster Exempt CATEGORY: GRADE: Professional H (Technology Support) JOB SUMMARY: Collaborate with IT Networking System to support the accessibility of the College’s website; assist in Database Administration and develop web interfaces to incorporate different databases. Manage and update the Districts web home page as well as other assigned District pages. Update modules, organize the District’s web training and resolve any web maintenance issues. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 1. Manage the web development team by organizing District staff training, project distribution, project strategic planning and overall web performance evaluation. Provide technical and non-technical advice, guidance, assistance and support to departmental clients on the appropriate and effective presentation of web content. Assist in approval, design and appropriate decision making by co-chairing in the web committees and advising in appropriate web site standards. Perform quality control and complex permission workflows district wide. 30% 2. Responsible for technical support and system administration to include Windows Server administration, Content Management Systems administration and Database administration on a cluster database server. Maintain the Districts home page as well as other assigned District pages. Collaborate with IT Networking System to support the accessibility of the college’s website. 25% 3. Assist in Database Administration which includes database architecture design through implementation, administration, monitoring, tuning, back-up, migration, and support. Develop web interfaces to incorporate different databases. 20% 4. Manage and support special projects outside the EPCC web development systems and technologies. Perform as a liaison with outside Vendors, Consultants and other entities with different technologies to integrate with the current EPCC web systems. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and all applicable technologies. 10% 5. Assist in the development of annual plans for the web site; identify goals, operational objectives, strategic approach, budget requirement evaluation; compile and present variety of standard and ad-hoc reports. Promote web site to appropriate internal/external audiences, establish links to/from other relevant sites and search engines. Work closely with other departments such as Marketing to promote web site. 5% 6. Conduct and arrange for ongoing technical training for faculty, staff and students by developing and designing training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
