A meeting of ASCAP was held on Monday, March 9 th at 3:00 p.m. in Holden Hall 129. Committee members present were: Gretchen Adams, Kelly Cukrowicz, Marliss Desens, Jacob Mota, Matt Olson, Luis Ramirez, and

David Roach. Presenters: Dr. Lumpkin (Health, Exercise, & Sport Sciences), and Dr. Houk (Sociology,

Anthropology, & Social Work).

Proposals to include ITAL 3301 and CMLL 3306 in the A&S GER list were withdrawn by the Chair of

Classical & Modern Languages & Literatures.

2.

Pending minor revisions, the Committee voted to approve the following proposals from Health, Exercise, and Sports Sciences:

Change description and number for ESS 3301, Introduction to Biomechanics.

Change description for ESS 3401, Introduction to Motor Behavior.

Change description for ESS 5002, Clinical Internship.

Change description for ESS 5330, Health Issues for the Active Female.

Change description for HLTH 3301, Epidemiology.

Change description and title for HLTH 4313, Mental Health.

The committee voted to approve the following proposals from Health, Exercise, and Sports Management

Change description for ESS 4363, Principles and Theories of Exercise Physiology.

Change description for ESS 5312, Behavioral and Psychological Aspects of Exercise.

Add HLTH 4344, Managing Stress.

Change description for PFW 1127, Bowling.

The Committee voted to approve the following proposals from Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work:

Delete ANTH 2101, Archaeology Laboratory

Delete ANTH 3305, Anthropological Linguistics

Delete ANTH 4305, Method and Theory in Cultural

Pending minor revisions, the Committee voted to approve the following proposal from Sociology,

Anthropology, and Social Work:

Change description and number for SOC 2324, Race and Ethnicity.

The next scheduled meeting of ASCAP is set for 3:00 Monday, April 13, 2015. Proposals for this meeting need to reach the Dean’s office by Monday, April 6 th .
