Minutes for Meeting of February 27, 2012
A scheduled meeting of ASCAP was held on Monday, February 27 at 3:00 p.m. in Holden Hall 129.
Committee members present were: Erin Collopy, Nelson Dometrius, David Lamp, Chris Monico, Philip
Pope, Rich Rice, and David Roach. Presenter: Dr. Goggin (Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences).
1. At the request of the department, the following proposals from the Department of Sociology,
Anthropology, and Social Work were postponed for another meeting:
Add SOC 2333 The US Criminal Justice System.
Add SOC 3333 White Collar Economic Crimes.
Add ANTH 3350 Archaeology of Death.
2. Pending minor revisions, the committee voted to recommend to the next level of consideration
the following proposals from the Department of Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences:
Change hours for ESS 3301 Biomechanics.
Change hours for ESS 3303 Motor Learning.
Change hours for ESS 3305 Exercise Physiology.
Change hours for ESS 3314 Life Span Motor Development.
Change hours for ESS 4345 Assessment of Physical Performance.
Change hours for ESS 4361 Applied Biomechanics.
Change hours for ESS 4363 Principles and Theories in Exercise Psychology.
Change hours for ESS 4365 Applied Motor Behavior.
Change hours for ESS 4368 Applied Exercise Physiology.
3. A representative from Biology was not able to present the following proposal at the meeting so it
was tabled by the committee:
Add ZOOL 6305 Molecular Systematics & Evolution.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of ASCAP is scheduled for Monday, March 5, for proposals that
reach the committee and the Dean’s office by Monday, February 27.
