In a statement, Bob Geldof said: "Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?" Police say the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden. Peaches was married to musician Thomas Cohen and they have two young sons, Astala, who will turn 2 on April 21st, and Phaedra, who will turn 1 on April 24th. Peaches was just 11 years old when her mother, Yates, died of a drug overdose in September 2000. Peaches also had her own struggles with drugs and thought she’d found the answer in Scientology. JUSTIN BIEBER was reportedly banned from all the hottest nightclubs in Miami over the weekend because they’ve decided he's a bigger headache than he's worth. Sources tell TMZ that Bieber's people called ahead to reserve tables at LIV, Story, and Adoré while Bieber was in town, but he struck out. Despite his people begging and pleading and promising to spend big money on bottles if the clubs let him in, it was no deal. The problem is, Bieber is under 21 and the last time he hit the Miami clubs he was arrested for DUI, which earned a ton of negative press for SET nightclub, where Bieber had been partying prior to the bust. The clubs did offer to let Bieber in if he agreed to perform a song, since performers can be under 21, but Bieber turned them down and no one cared. DEMI LOVATO hasn’t officially commented on nude photos of her that were leaked online over the weekend, but she has issued somewhat cryptic statements on Twitter. Some of the photos show her in bed with boyfriend WILMER VALDERRAMA and she tweeted in Spanish: "Soy fuerte. Soy luchadora. Asi que no me subestimen," which means, "I am strong. I'm a fighter. Don't underestimate me." However, she could be flirting with disaster. Not only is she said to be a diva in her AA classes, word is that she plans to go to the Coachella Music Festival with her party pal mother Dina. A supposed Lohan insider, who’s probably her father Michael, says, “Lindsay should not be going to Coachella …and having Dina with her isn’t really making anyone feel comfortable that she will be a good chaperone. It’s a big alcohol and drug festival and it is the last place that Lindsay should be.” The source continues, “Lindsay swears that she’ll stay sober, but Coachella is a huge party and there are going to be so many temptations for her. Everyone is really worried about her.” While many have to pay highly inflated prices for Coachella tickets, a number of celebrities are actually being paid to attend, among them LEA MICHELE, AARON PAUL, KATE BOSWORTH and VANESSA HUDGENS. Lea Michele is being paid $20,000 by Lacoste to attend while dressed in their clothes. Vanessa Hudgens is being paid $15,000 by McDonald’s to attend, perhaps in large shoes and baggy pants. Meanwhile, Kate Bosworth is demanding $30,000, Aaron Paul wants $15,000 and VIP passes, and Joe Jonas reportedly wants “under $20,000.” ROB LOWE says he's not a narcissist, but claims there's an "unbelievable bias" against good-looking people like himself. Lowe is plugging his new book Love Life and tells The New York Times magazine there's a notion that good-looking people can't be in pain or they can't have rough lives or be deep or interesting. They can't be any of the things that you long to play as an actor. Lowe says, “I'm getting to play those parts now and loving it. That means they’ll no longer issue patches or system updates to protect against viruses and other malware and if you run into any problems, you won't be able to call Microsoft for technical help. It also means XP will become an even bigger target for hackers. The scary thing is that nearly 75 percent of bank ATMs run on XP. As for other businesses and individuals that don’t want to upgrade, experts believe security attacks are inevitable. They say it’ll help if you switch to the Google Chrome browser, but if you shop or do online banking with your old Windows XP system you could be asking for trouble. The video taken by a surveillance camera at McAllister’s office two days before Christmas shows him passionately embracing and kissing one of his congressional aides for about 30 seconds. Commitment-phobes in Japan can now certify their love without committing to marriage or even engagement. Japanese couples can now have their affection officially recognized by submitting government documents certifying their love for each other in what are called love declaration forms. Couples fill in their names and the time and place they met, assuming they remember. They can also write in the places they want to go with their sweetheart, as well as the things they’d like to say, or be told, by their significant other. A declining birthrate in the country has been hurting the tax man and that’s forced lawmakers in the city of Nagareyama to attempt to attract child-bearing couples to their town anyway they can, including promoting the city’s use as a filming location for an upcoming romantic movie. Officials say they hope the love declaration form will encourage young people to express their romantic feelings and in turn increase their population base. According to research published in the journal "Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking," too much Twitter could "lead to unfavorable relationship outcomes such as cheating, breakup, or divorce." Participants in the study were asked how often they logged into Twitter, how often they Tweet and if they ever emotionally cheated on their significant other with someone they connected or reconnected with on Twitter. On average, the participants said that they spent 52 minutes a day, five days a week on Twitter and while the results found that both Twitter and Facebook use caused couples to fight, Facebook didn’t affect long-term couples as much as Twitter. Thanks to the Internet, our reading habits are taking a hit. For the most part when we go online we just scan a page and look for something interesting and then skim through the article. It turns out we’re getting so used to doing that, even when we read a real book, we tend to start skimming. Cognitive neuroscientists are both interested and alarmed by the trend. They say we seem to be developing digital brains with new circuits for skimming through torrents of information and that’s competing with traditional deep reading circuitry that our brains have developed over several millennia. Book lovers and scientists have called for a “slow reading” movement, much like the gourmet crowd’s “slow food” movement. However, some fear there is no turning back and they encourage parents to read to their children from books and help them learn to slow down and read.
