Now medium duration rice varieties are at flowering and milking stage in most of the fields.
Looking to this Farmer’s is advised to keep watch on the crop for insect/disease and
infestation and if the pest population is above ETL, use insecticides recommended by
agriculture officers. It is also recommended to go for integrated insect and disease
management methods.

Looking to the mainly dry weather condition farmers are advised to harvest the matured rice
crop and keep it in the field for proper sun drying only for 1-2 days.

If hopper infestation in rice is at initial stage then farmers having irrigation facility are
advised for draining off water from their field and again filling it after 2-3 days for the
control of hoppers.

Farmers are advised to prepare nursery bed for rabi vegetable crop likes cauliflower,
cabbage and tomato.
