If the vegetable sowing has been completed, farmers are advised to follow the drip system for irrigation purpose. Farmers can collect the evaporation data from this department and utilize this data for irrigation management. If the sowing of wheat crop has taken 15-20 days earlier and it has reached CRI stage, then farmers are advised for irrigation at Crown Root Initiation stage. Under late sown condition of wheat, farmers are advised to increase the seed rate by 20-25 Kg. Per ha. over and above recommended dose. Looking to the past cloudy weather condition the incidence of aphids in mustard, raddish and beans is likely to increase, so farmers are advised to keep keen watch on the crop and if the infestation is above ETL spray Carbaryl@ 2 kg/ha. At present the pigeon pea is at pod formation stage and due to the partial cloudy weather during the last few days the infestation of pod borer may occur. Farmers are advised to keep keen watch on the crop and if the infestation is above ETL, spray Polytrin C @ 1 l/ha or Endoxacarb @ 300 ml/ha. Sr. Scientist (Agromet)
