Farmers are advised to harvest the matured rice crop and keep it in the field at safe places
looking into previous weak rainfall for proper sun drying only for 1-2 days.
Present weather conditions are favourable for the sowing of potato. Hence, farmers having
proper irrigation facilities are advised for the sowing of the same.
Present weather conditions are favourable for proper sowing of gram, pea, mustard and
linseed. Hence, farmers are advised for sowing of these crops after the kharif crops harvest
with residual moisture.
Present weather conditions are suitable for sowing of nursery of cauliflower, tomato, brinjal,
chilli etc. Before sowing seed should be treated with Bavistin or Thiram @ 2-3 g per kg
seed. Where the sowing has already been done, spraying of Bavistin @ 1 g per liter water
solution is advised to protect the seedlings from damping off. Farmers who have already
sown the nursery are advised for the transplanting of the same in the main fields during
evening hours.
