JOB SUMMARY
This position provides administrative, secretarial, and clerical support to a manager, line supervisor or
other City official.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Provides administrative support to the Marketing and Business Development Manager
 Interacts with developers and existing businesses for the growth of the community
 Assists the Director in maintenance of data for available existing buildings and site inventories
 Creates databases and generates reports
 Maintains schedules for the department or division
 Assists in budget preparation and monitoring
 Assists in maintaining City web site and social media sites
 Accompanies Manager and/or represent Department at meetings and ceremonies when
requested
 Screens and directs calls
 Completes special projects as directed
 Composes and typse letters and general correspondence
 Schedules use of City facilities
 Prepares agendas and takes and transcribes minutes of meetings
 Provides respectful, professional, positive service in all interactions between co-workers and
internal and external customers
 Maintains a positive and productive environment ensuring compliance with policies, procedures,
goals and objectives of the City, Department, and Division
 Maintains equipment and supply inventory; maintains records relating to receipt and issuance of
materials or equipment; prepares purchase and supply requisitions
 Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
 Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
 Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn multiple software packages quickly (Incode
and others)
 Ability to work independently
 Ability to multi-task
 AA preferred
 Real Estate or Public Relations background preferred
 Current Missouri drivers license
 5+ years secretarial experience
 Good customer service skills (in person, phone, e-mail)
