These requirements include but are not limited to – site specific requirements, company quality management requirements, supplier supplied material safety data sheets, codes of practice, manufacturer’s specifications, and legislative requirements. 2 Quality management requirements includes but is not limited to compliance with the ISO 9000 series standards. Outcomes and evidence requirements Outcome 1 Explain quality management processes and the contribution of the individual to the maintenance of quality standards in the dairy industry. Evidence requirements 1.1 Quality management processes are explained in terms of primary purpose and application. Range 1.2 quality planning, quality control, quality assurance, quality improvement. The concept of customer/supplier relationships is explained in relation to identification of respective needs and maintenance of quality standards. Range internal and external customers, internal and external suppliers. Range 1.4 4821 version 6 Page 2 of 3 aspects – process approach, customer and outcome focus, specifications, documentation of procedures, critical control points, traceability, non-conformance control. The individual’s position in the supplier to customer chain is identified and a minimum of three contributions made by the individual to maintenance of quality standards are identified. Outcome 2 Explain the maintenance of quality standards in the individual’s workplace. Evidence requirements 2.1 Quality responsibilities of the individual’s position are explained in relation to the needs of the “next-in-line” customer. 2.2 Quality checks are explained in relation to organisational requirements. Range product, process. 2.3 The procedure for non-conformance control and reporting is explained according to organisational requirements. 2.4 Critical control points for maintaining quality standards are identified for a process controlled by the individual.
