This unit standard is for employees in dairy companies who work in teams to achieve assigned tasks and/or jobs. Classification Dairy Manufacturing > Dairy People Skills Available grade Achieved Explanatory notes 1 Work must be carried out in accordance with organisational requirements, licensing requirements, legislative requirements and industrial awards and agreements, which will vary depending on the workplace in which assessment is taking place. 2 Teams may be a feature of work organisation or formed to address a specific function or issue. 3 Team practices and work allocation occur within the context of licensing requirements and industrial agreements. 4 Achieving team goals typically involves co-operation with own team members and with other teams and work areas. 5 Performance standards are standards set by the organisation that incorporate quality and quantity criteria that have to be met. Outcome 2 Complete work tasks and roles to meet team requirements in the dairy industry. Evidence requirements 2.1 Relevant legislative, organisational and other requirements for the task are identified in terms of applying them to the team environment. 2.2 Personal workload is planned to meet team goals and performance standards, and work responsibilities are completed within agreed timeframes. 2.3 Problems are identified and timely requests are made for assistance from own team members, other teams and work areas as required to meet team goals and performance standards. 2.4 Constructive feedback and assistance is provided to other team members to effectively achieve team goals and performance standards. Evidence requirements 3.1 Resource implications of team goals and targets are identified. 3.2 Personal skills are assessed to identify match with team skills and enable resource requirements to be identified. Evidence requirements 4.1 Procedures for identifying critical success factors for performance standards are described in relation to own work responsibilities.
