They will go through the writing process of brainstorming, researching, prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. Some of the topics students have chosen are technology, sports, fashion, and environment. Read All About It! Please note that students do not enter the school building in the morning until 9:05 am. Students will determine the positive and negative effects of manmade characteristics including Clear Spring Park. Students will also identify the importance of waterways and the development of society around major transportation routes which include the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River. Science Reading Students will read graphic novels. They will identify the main ideas and key details of the texts. Also, students will explain how the illustrations and dialogue influence the overall meaning. Students will compare and contrast information across multiple texts. They will use multiple graphic organizers to understand the meaning of unknown words and their origins. Contact us! Students will identify celestial patterns with the Earth and stars.
