Our third
graders are
learning about
geography by
comparing
places and
regions around
Science
the world.
Students will
continue to
explore the
physical sciences
including
separating, mixing,
dissolving, cooling,
and heating in
relating to the
conservation of
matter. They will
use the elementary
engineering design
process to
determine how
tools, materials,
and processes are
used to carry out
tasks.
Reading and
Writing
We will be reading and
studying poetry. More
specifically, we will be
focusing on identifying
theme, point of view, and
sequencing events.
Students will continue their
work with informational
text. They will determine
what new information is
gained from text features.
In addition, students will
determine the key details
and main idea of a text.
