Reading
We will begin the year by
building up students’
endurance in order to prepare
for the beginning of small
group instruction. The focus of
small group instruction will
coincide with writing by using
adventure stories as the
chosen genre. Please continue
to make sure your students are
reading for at least 20 minutes
every night. Now that the
school year has started, we
will have a new set of book
logs. The expectations are
that the students will read at
least 6 books and write short
summaries about each of them
that they can share with their
classmates.
