JOB SUMMARY: Provide instructional support service to students and oversee the daily operations of the Tutorial Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Identify academic support needs, plan and develop academic support requirements. Manage their implementation and evaluate their success. Organize and coordinate the daily operations of the tutorial center.
2.
Provide personnel management direction and guidance to staff including orientation, performance appraisal, professional development, coaching and counseling. Participate in setting performance goals and priorities that contribute to departmental mission.
3.
Responsible for monitoring and regulating expenses and resources. Oversee budget and propose new budget recommendations. Monitor, recommend, and approve expenditures.
4.
Develop, manage and implement various instructional support services and activities which require on-going contact with faculty and other departments.
5.
Responsible for maintaining accountability measures of student usage through department database; responds to various academic information requests and reporting requirements.
6.
Provide advanced tutorial services as needed. Facilitate workshops for academic development. Ensure that equipment is in good working order.
7.
Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years related experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong verbal, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact effectively with students, visitors, faculty and staff at all levels.
Good judgment skills sufficient to complete tasks with little supervision and resolve conflicts if necessary.
Proficient computer skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Strong understanding of factors that impact learning and cognitive development.
2.
Equipment Used: PC, printer, fax, copier, telephone, and any other equipment associated with an office environment.
3.
Software Used: A variety of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and presentation software and computer assisted instruction software.
