ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 30% 1. Establish recordkeeping methods that monitor the Hazardous Communication Program to include updating and maintaining chemical records and MSDS. Assist in integrating the Globally Harmonizing System into the College. 2. Assist in presenting employee safety training programs to include the assembling and distributing of educational/training materials. 25% 3. Provide clerical services, including composing letters and memos, electronic communication, answer/respond to calls, and attend/schedule meetings. Exchange information with internal and external departments or agencies to explain policies, procedures, rules, and regulations governing departmental functions. 20% 4. Research information and produce rather detailed reports, forms and statements. 15% 5. Assist in conducting safety and health walkthrough inspections. 10% REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Risk Manager ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree EXPERIENCE: Two (2) Years SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Skills/Abilities: Good communication and computer skills, effective phone etiquette skills and skills and ability to follow instructions. 2. Equipment Used: Personal Computer, fax, telephone, copier, and other equipment associated with an office environment. 3. Software Used: A variety of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and presentation software.
