JOB SUMMARY: Directs activities of all team members including but not limited to emergency
technicians, contracted construction, new and emergency construction, regulatory agency permits, and
existing utility relations within the Metropolitan OSP Department. The Technical Manager is responsible
for all department activities including fiscal responsibility of department operating budget and project
related budgets, to include product delivery and customer relationship.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.
The individual in this position will be versed in all areas of
Telecommunications Outside Plant Construction management to include
engineering, construction, splicing, right-of-way, and permitting.
2.
Contract management; Procurement (purchasing); Infrastructure purchases;
Vendor selection and relations.
3.
Construction Safety Practices (OSHA and Industry); Construction Industry
Standards and Practices (design and construction).
4.
Budgetary authority (creation and implementation); Project costing and
estimating (sales budgets).
5.
Site survey coordination (fiber and wireless); Drafting and fiber route
production and coordination with CFE.
6.
Warehouse inventory
management.
7.
Responsible for system capture, activity production and work assignment and
completion; Activity generation and follow-up; Installation scheduling and
work load optimization.
8.
NOC support order follow-up and scheduling; Engineering order follow-up
and scheduling; Preventative maintenance scheduling; Customer service and
scheduling.
9.
Other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years related experience.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURES: Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.
