Tama’s retirement and the $2 million budget cuts to the college budget
have led to an Enrollment Services reorganization “back to the future”
where the Enrollment Services director position, along with the two
assistant directors, will be eliminated and will be replaced with a Director
of A&R and a Director of Financial Aid. The Enrollment Services model will
continue.
Dennis handed out copies of the draft restructuring process and asked for
suggestions. This will be discussed in CPC today. There is a “think tank”
with subject area experts who will ask questions and give suggestions to
the components. Student Services already has approximately $250,000 in
salary savings towards the $2 million and will likely be able contribute
more if positions can be funded with SSSP or Student Equity money.
Volunteers will be solicited with via an “all” email; Grad Fair at the
bookstore April 21/22.
Math Plus is a Student Equity funded project that acts as a review for
students before their next math class. The next week-long sessions will be
in June and August. Help spread the word to students. Contact Eric Grabiel
for flyers.
May 1 from 10-1 (location TBA) there will be a campus-wide convening led
