Director of Teacher Education Report
A. Faculty Development Plans for 2011-2012 – Due October 15
B. HATS off 2011-2012 – The program to support our graduates will continue.
This is also how we get our follow-up data. If you are interested in
supervising a student, let Courtney know.
C. Elementary Education OSAT passing standard – Being re-adjusted after the
significant change in test format that occurred for 2010-2011
D. Framework Review Conference, September 22nd – This means the Health &
PE OSAT will get revised this year.
Last month’s meeting minutes were approved.

1. Approved minutes from the May 27, 2011 meeting are posted at

New Business
1. Deletion of Chemistry Education program due to lack of student
interest. Vivian Thomlinson moved that the program deletion be
accepted with a change in the paperwork to show the deletion of the
methods course. Lynda Robinson seconded the motion, which was
accepted.

A. All Program Reports uploaded to SPA September 15, 2012, due as pdf
to Director of Teacher Ed June 1, 2012; must have 2 cycles of data for
each assessment; check for applicable standards for your area at

B. Certification score final update for 2010-2011
C. Rubric revisions and data dissemination
D. Advisory meetings – October 6, 2011 at 4:00 in CETES Conference
Center
E. OACTE/OATE/OCTP Conference – Submit travel through your chair to
Ronna Vanderslice’s office, which will take care of registration for
November 18th. English Education will not be represented by a trainer.
