Reporting into the President of the Pharma & Healthcare vertical of Informa Business Intelligence, the Head of Strategic Partnerships will be working with Informa PLC Group M&A team to execute on the Pharma & Healthcare M&A strategy to dramatically grow the size and profitability of the business. This is a senior strategic leadership role with responsibility for monitoring the space for lead generation, relationship management, building business cases to support acquisitions, and leading the integration plans and process on behalf of the vertical alongside the Group M&A team. Objectives Work with Informa Group M&A and the Head of the Pharma and Healthcare business intelligence division to grow revenue and profitability of the business through strategic partnerships and acquisitions of business intelligence solutions. Be responsible for the coordination and management of the execution of acquisitions, which can include interim management, until the business is ready to be managed by the Head of Intelligence business. Responsibilities Reporting into the Head of the Pharma and Healthcare BI business, and in coordination with Informa Group M&A, manage the strategy for growth through M&A and strategic partnerships. Continually monitor the business intelligence space to identify and track desirable potential strategic partnerships/acquisition candidates with strong strategic fit into the Informa BI Pharma and Healthcare business. Perform strategic and financial modeling for current and future synergies with the current product suite. Create and present business case analysis to support potential strategic partnerships/acquisitions. Take responsibility for leading an integration team from within the Pharma and Healthcare vertical upon acquisition to assure smooth integration into the business of any acquisitions May be responsible to manage, alongside existing management, newly acquired companies on an interim basis until appropriate level of integration achieved to move the business into the legacy business unit. This can include P&L management responsibilities. Work together with Product Management team to define and realize product synergies between the newly acquired company and the legacy business. Profile Senior executive with experience in managing strategy around partnerships/mergers and acquisitions plus P&L responsibility. Must have excellent domain knowledge of the business intelligence space in pharma and healthcare. Successful candidates need the intellectual capacity and energy to work with some of the industry’s brightest entrepreneurs, managing the most important transaction of their life, the sale of their company. Strengths to include senior management skills (has to motivate and be respected by senior executives and entrepreneurs) and a strong desire for managing change Candidate will possess superior communication and modeling skills, a history of progressive professional development, a consistent work history and 10+ years of experience in Pharma and healthcare business intelligence market. Understanding of technology and data analytics a plus. Able and willing to travel to key markets, including the US and Asia.
