Have a great President’s Day Weekend! Bitman will return Tuesday morning! Bitman By David Evjen Bitman1@aol.com Friday, February 14th, 2014 THE BITS… Today is Valentine’s Day. It’s the one day every year that we express our true and undying love to that special someone in hopes of getting lucky. Today is Valentine’s Day. It’s the day you go out to a lavish dinner with and buy chocolates for the woman who then asks if her dress makes her butt look big. Today is Valentine’s Day. Here’s a tip for guys. Jewelry makes an excellent Valentine’s Day gift for that special someone…and don’t forget to also pick up something for your wife. A new survey says 1 in 5 women and 1 in 4 men expect sex on Valentine’s Day. I consider myself lucky on Valentine’s Day if my date accepts credit cards. According to a new survey, 1 in 5 women and 1 in 4 men expect sex on Valentine’s Day. However, that number drops dramatically if they’re married. That huge winter storm shut down all federal offices in Washington DC yesterday. All work in Washington came to a standstill, there was no movement, and nothing was accomplished. In other words it was business as usual. The East Coast is digging out from the latest massive snow storm. In fact, conditions were so bad in Kentucky at the Corvette Museum that sinkholes were swallowing snowplows. This week 49 of the 50 U.S. states had snow on the ground. In fact, it’s so miserable that Sports Illustrated is planning a snowsuit issue. This week 49 of the 50 U.S. states had snow on the ground. Don’t think of the snow as a nuisance, think of it as your chance to participate in freestyle shoveling. Apparently Bruce is upset because Kim Kardashian gets to wear all of the cute outfits. Supermodels Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigan are featured on the cover of the new Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Not only that, all three are expected to make the 2016 U.S. Olympic swimsuit team. Barbie will be featured in the new Sports Illustrated but swimsuit issue. Unfortunately, there’s already some controversy as rumor has it Barbie was Photoshopped. Barbie will be featured in Sports Illustrated's 50th anniversary swimsuit issue. Barbie is fake, she’s made of plastic and sets an impossible beauty standard for girls. In other words she’ll fit right in with the rest of the supermodels. Word is that Bruce won’t be coming back if the show was picked up for another season. They’re currently wrapping up filming of this season, so you’ll still see Jenner for a while, although they say he’s now only reluctantly taking part. It’s said that Bruce wants to spend more time with his kids and playing golf, flying helicopters and riding motorcycles. As usual, the story is being denied by the family. In any case, Bruce could be walking away from a ton of cash. The Kardashian’s contract with the E channel is coming up for renewal and the last time they got a record $40 million and their new deal should be worth even more. KIM KARDASHIAN and CIARA went shopping for their toddlers at Bel Bambini, which is, needless to say, a high-end baby store. While that’s not major news, they were flanked by five L.A. County Sheriff's deputies as they made their way to their cars. Naturally, some people had a problem with that and while the Sheriff’s Department at first said the officers were on duty, they later clarified that they were off-duty and hired by a production company. Of course, that means we’ll likely be seeing the drama on an upcoming episode of the Kardashian’s show. KENDALL JENNER strutted on the catwalk at the Marc Jacobs Show at New York Fashion Week yesterday. Kendall wore a light brown v-neck top, two toned cropped trousers, coordinating tights and shoes. However, what everyone seemed to notice was that the sheer top exposed her nips! You may remember the story about KATY PERRY and JOHN MAYER hitting the Spearmint Rhino strip club in Santa Barbara after the Super Bowl. A stripper there named Cassidy has been fired after she posed with Katy and posted the photos online. Apparently she violated the club's "no cameras" rule and while she may have gotten away with that, posting the photos online was a definite no-no. Cassidy was reportedly fired in front of all the other girls to send a message. He says he won't do magazine interviews anymore following a story on him in the new Rolling Stone. Drake said some unflattering things about Kanye West and when the article was released he claimed they misquoted him, although the magazine stands by its story. However, Drake’s real issue seems to be with the fact that he was supposed to be on the cover until actor Philip Seymour Hoffman died. In a since-deleted tweet Drake said he was "disgusted" and "They also took my cover from me last minute and ran the issue. I'm disgusted with that. RIP to Phillip Seymour Hoffman. All respect due. But the press is evil." Rolling Stone also says they told Drake’s people last week that there were putting Hoffman on the cover. It may not be a very happy Valentine’s Day for BLAKE LIVELY and RYAN REYNOLDS. It’s reported that they’re on the verge of getting a divorce, less than two years after they got married. However, this is according to the not always reliable Star magazine. They say the couple is spending time apart while Ryan films a movie in Louisiana, and that’s causing Blake a lot of ‘separation anxiety.’ Not helping matters is the fact that Ryan’s co-star is Sienna Miller, who has a track record of cheating. It should be noted that Blake began putting the moves on Ryan while he was still married to Scarlett Johansson. COLIN FARRELL tells the March issue of Elle magazine that sleeping with a woman after getting sober was quite difficult. Farrell says, "I made love to a woman about two and half years after I got clean, and it was one of the most terrifying moments of my life. It was in the afternoon. The windows and the curtains were open. It was lovely…She was very gentle. But it was terrifying because I was just used to drunkenness and dark rooms and clubs and toilets and wherever." Farrell also said that he believes in monogamy, but that marriage isn’t for everyone. The magazine will be out next Tuesday. Former "Jackass" star STEVE-O ticked off the L.A. fire department this week after he and three of his pals faked having seizures at a West Hollywood coffee shop. Despite cheesing off the fire department no charges will be filed because technically Steve-O and his friends didn’t break the law since they weren’t the ones who called 911. Steve-O later said that he agreed his stunt should be illegal, but added it wasn’t his idea and that it provided an "invaluable service by exposing a glaring shortcoming in the laws." They also point out that 60 percent of portraits since the 14th century show the subjects from the left, and 90 percent of paintings of Jesus show his left side. Scientists say that could be because the right half of the brain deals more with emotions than the left and since the right side of your brain controls the left part of your body, the left side of your face is generally more expressive. An 84-year-old woman in Brazil went to the hospital last week with extreme stomach pains. What doctors found turned out to be extremely bizarre. It turned out that the woman was carrying a 44-year-old fetus. The rare phenomenon is known as lithopedion, in which the fetus grows and then dies outside of the uterus. With the body unable to rid itself of it, the dead fetus is instead covered in calcium as a means of protection, resulting in what they call a "stone baby."
