Bui Bolg has a voluntary internship for a Costume Assistant
Bui Bolg is one of Ireland’s premier street theatre companies. We have developed a huge
reputation both nationally and internationally for our larger than life creations and
explosive street pageantry.

Our portfolio includes – street theatre, spectacle, pageants, parades, festivals, events,
inflatable artworks, installations, arts education, giant puppets, animatronics, props and
design.
We are seeking somebody with energy, enthusiasm and flare.
Key areas of responsibility:
The Costume Assistant will be required to:








Assisting in the construction of costumes for puppets and humans for parades and
other events
Cutting of patterns for hats and costumes for puppets, humans and various items
Sewing and trimming (on industrial and domestic machines) of several different
designs (approximately 100 costumes to be made)
Costume fittings and dress rehearsals
Assistance on the day of show/ parade, dressing and stewarding
Cleaning and storage of costumes and props
Inflatable artwork construction
Costume hire assistance to customers
