February 2012
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is an exciting time here in Red Hill’s Performing Arts Department! We’ve begun casting and
practicing for our Spring Sing Performance, Middle School Presents: A Broadway Cabaret! Our
performance will take place on May 8th from 6:30-8:00pm. Each of your children has been cast
into a specific role that requires the memorization of lyrics and choreography, as well as a
costume. Listed on the next page are the costume requirements for each child. Each student
will need their own costume based on their casting listed below. However, I’m asking for a
contribution of $5 to cover the cost of the sequin tops/shirts we will be wearing for our finale
performance of “Footloose.” While costumes are the responsibility of both the students and
parents, I will provide for items if you feel you cannot purchase and/or find a costume article.
Please have these items sent in with your child no later than the week of Monday, May 1st,
2012, as these materials will be needed in class, as well as being details being added to each
costume. Having these costumes available for the week of May 1st will be a factor in your child’s
grade for performing arts that week.
I truly appreciate all of your support as do your children. Your children have all been working so
hard on their dances and songs, and now they are going to shine in their beautiful costumes, all
because of you! I am so proud already of their hard work and glorious voices, and I just know
that come the performance they are all going to shine God’s light! Please don’t hesitate to
contact me via email at ssheehan@redhillschool.org if you have any questions or concerns
regarding costumes for your child.
Broadway has nothing on us! 
Best,
Samantha Sheehan
