Conference Producer Division: Tax and Accounting Location: London, Victoria Role type: Production Work Type: Permanent _____________________________________________________________________ Your Profile You will be an ambitious graduate with a 2:1 degree or above or equivalent. You will have an entrepreneurial, intelligent, positive and hard-working attitude. You will be commercially astute with a constant desire to find out more about complex business/financial issues. As such, you will have strong analytical research skills that enable you to build an understanding in the various and niche financial/legal areas you will be investigating. You will also be creative with strong self-drive project management skills. You will need to have no fear of researching with senior business professionals – often the heads of their departments – in technical areas that you are unlikely to have prior experience of. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in conference production, but exceptions can be made if overwhelming potential makes up for a lack of experience. The Role Researching and producing a range of events across a range of business areas, you will be responsible for researching and writing your own conference programmes and managing the production process within a defined topic area (in this case, Legal and/or Financial). Speaking with key business industry players in the research process, you will be responsible for all elements of speaker acquisition and topic research across a number of different events. With telephone research and face to face meetings a critical element of the role; you will have excellent communication & inter-personal skills – being able to forge professional relationships easily. Candidates with expectations that business/research can be conducted purely by email need not apply! As a division that runs events of various scale, you will also be an excellent time manager, able to balance many different tasks at any one time. The ability to generate ideas for new events and run them from conception to execution will be an added bonus, but not be integral to the role at this stage. The role(s) is ideal for entrepreneurial minded individuals who can make keen commercial decisions, manage projects and want to take the first step towards managing their own portfolio of events.
