Distance Learning Course Administrator
The Position:
IBC Academy has a vacancy for a Course Administrator to join our team and work on the
delivery of our distance learning courses. The role requires a well organised, enthusiastic
individual to become an integral part of our education and training team which develops and
administers focused courses for individuals and companies.
The Course Administrator role is an entry-level position in our team and would suit an
applicant with some prior administrative experience or a recent graduate looking for their first
role. The role includes:
 Receiving and processing applications through the enrolment process
 Responding to telephone, email, fax or personal enquiries from interested potential
students
 Maintaining accurate progress and financial records for students
 Working with course directors, authors, tutors, proof readers, formatters and printers for
the timely development and release of course materials
 Maintaining the on-line student course management system
 Managing the receipt and marking process for student assignments
 Recording and reviewing the progress of enrolled students
 Undertaking basic reviewing, formatting and proof reading of study materials
 Monitoring and managing the student experience during a course
 Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will likely be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or will have relevant
experience and will need to demonstrate their ability to:
 Establish a comfortable and friendly atmosphere with students, demonstrating an
excellent customer service attitude, communication skills and interpersonal skills
 Utilise Microsoft Office products and demonstrate effective IT skills
 Juggle conflicting requirements and multi-task
 Utilise effective time management and organisational processes with great attention to
detail and follow through
 Be responsive, open and provide clear information
 Work to tight deadlines
 Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge
 Represent IBC Academy and our partner academic institutions in a professional and
ethical manner
 Driven to over-deliver on targets
 Report with strong written and verbal communication skills
 Work independently as well as in a team based environment
 Utilise Microsoft Office and have good basic IT skills
 Always maintains a positive attitude!
