This includes reviewing the application and resume, interviewing applicants, and even sourcing for new applicants when needed. I also select applicable assessments and assign them to applicants to gain an objective perspective of their qualifications. Other methods I use to seek out quality applicants include attending local job fairs and postings on the Internet. I also interact with area businesses to obtain more positions to place applicants in. A few of the highlights of my time with Westaff are as follows: Reinvigorated degraded relationship with high profile client. Took over new role as Client Services Representative for private clients. Private side has seen more growth in past four months than in over two years. As recent US Air Force retiree, a number of new candidates come in specifically to see me. Made a number of office improvement, including setting up network filing system and a dedicated training computer. United States Air Force Multiple Locations Aug 1981 – Sep 2007 My last position with the US Air Force was as Operations Superintendent for a regional weather center located at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. There I was responsible for overall operations for a unit that forecasted the weather in a 10-state region known as Tornado Alley. I interviewed new folks to determine the best position to place them in, and I also had to track numerous types of metrics in an effort to improve forecasting capability. I also developed and taught numerous t raining classes as an ongoing part of the training for less experienced forecasters. Prior to the above position, I was Systems Training Manager for the weather career field. While here, I developed numerous paper, computer, and web -based training materials for the entire career field. This included a comprehensive 300+ page training workbook on a brand new weather dissemination system. This workbook is still in use today, 6-7 years later. I was also my unit’s computer expert. I had to maintain, repai r, and update all of the computer systems in my unit. The downtime of my systems was less than 1%. I was also the lead purchasing authority for new computer hardware and software upgrades.
