Electrical Systems Control Engineer:
Nautricity Limited is a tidal energy developer delivering new technical solutions to
generate electricity from marine current flows. We are looking to recruit an Electrical
Systems Control Engineer to be part of the team delivering our technology
development program.
Potential applicants should have a minimum of 3 years experience and an established
track record in the application of programmable logic control (PLC) and System
Control and Data Analysis (SCADA) systems when applied within a technology
development and proving program within a construction, engineering or energy
industry enterprise. Applicants should have an in-depth knowledge and direct
experience of working with and implementing PLC and SCADA systems within
engineering projects, specifically addressing the configuration and applications of
these systems to the operation and performance monitoring of engineering plant; and
analysis of the information contained in the output to manage the operations of the
plant.
Applicants should be: self motivated and goal driven, demonstrating an ability to plan,
coordinate and execute tasks while being conscious of delivery time lines; be able to
lead the project delivery team in system control matters; and be able to lead by
example in the adoption and implementation of best operational, quality, health and
safety practices. Applicants will have skills sets pertaining to instrumentation and
control system design and specification; managing the implementation of control
systems within the design, build and commissioning process; analysis and
interpretation of control system data; together with reporting skills to the equivalent
of senior company management/board level.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate successful delivery of system control
projects which are focused on technology development, product testing,
commissioning and operation.
Applicants should have excellent communications and interpersonal skills. This will
include experience of engaging, presenting, speaking, and interacting with a range of
stakeholders from industry, commerce, government and the public.
