COLONEL TERRY D. MILLER UNITED STATES AIR FORCE Colonel Terry D. Miller is retired from the United States Air Force and resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Colonel Terry D. Miller attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Political Science. Upon graduation, he was commissioned through Air Force ROTC Detachment 465 in February 1964. His fist assignment was with the 1st Aerospace Control Squadron. He worked as a satellite orbital analyst and was stationed at Ent AFB, CO. Following his assignment, he stayed at Ent AFB, but served as a Staff Orbital Analyst with the 9 th Aerospace Defense Division. From Ent AFB, Col. Miller moved to Eglin AFB, FL, where he was assigned to the 20th Surveillance Squadron as a member of the HQ ADC Operation Test and Evaluation Team for the FPS-85 Radar. Then, he was moved to the 13th Missile Warning Squadron where he served as a Crew Commander, Chief of Training/Evaluation and Operations Officer. Following this, Col. Miller was assigned to Headquarters NORAD /J-2 and attended Squadron Officer School. His next assignments were operations staff assignments with Headquarters, Aerospace Defense Command, and the 14th Aerospace Force, both of which were at Ent AFB. Col. Miller then attended Air Command and Staff College. His next assignment led him to Shemya AFB, AK where he served as the Cobra Dane (Radar) Test Team Operations Officer. Following this, he was assigned as the Detachment Commander for the GEODSS site at WSMR, NM. Then, he traveled to Headquarters, USAF, in Washington, D.C., where he was the Program Element Monitor (PEM) for 12 Space Surveillance and communications programs. Col. Miller was then assigned to be the Commander of the 17th Surveillance Squadron in San Miguel, RP. He then served as the Commander for the Joint (US-Australian) Defense Space Communications Squadron College where he was named a Distinguished Graduate and earned the VAdm Boyes Award for Best Military Operation Paper. After attending the Naval War College, he was assigned to the JCS/J-5 and took part in the Strategic Arms International Negotiations with the Soviet Union in Geneva, Switzerland. Col. Miller then served as the DO for the 1st Space Wing at Pererson AFB, CO. After this, he served as the ADO for Headquarters, Air Force Space Command, also at Peterson AFB. Col. Miller retired from the Air Force in 1990. Since retiring from the Air Force, Col. Miller has been employed by Northrop Grumman (1990-1995) and with Lockheed Martin (1995-2002). He is now President and CEO of Blue Sky Marketing, Inc.
