Product Specialist - Non Destructive Testing - Paris Date : August 23, 2013 Job Description Job summary: Under the authority of the Business Unit Manager, OISE Competence Centre the NDT specialist has the challenge of supporting the EMEA sales force and client base in the understanding, training and use of NDT applications using portable ultrasound equipment (Phased Array, Flaw detectors, thickness gages, probes & acc. including software). Additionally the successful applicant will need to pro-actively participate in managing these products lines to ensure product evolution and commercial success. Supporting the sales force by carrying out inspections, evaluating applications and new products under development are also key responsibilities. Travel within Europe, Middle East and Africa represents approximately 40% of this role and due to the territorial differences the successful applicant will need to possess a strong cultural awareness and the ability to work autonomously. Principal tasks: Sales support and training: Offer applied support to the sales force pre and post sales; Rapidly respond to commercial and technical questions from key accounts and the sales force. Provide advanced training courses and workshops to the Olympus subsidiaries, distributors and key accounts. Solutions management: Identify sub-segments in growing markets. Elaborate product line strategies to the sales force and provide customer and sales force feedback to the factory for potential product improvements and new opportunities for product development (ex: new features, areas for improvement, success stories and competitive field intelligence) Ensure that decisions and actions are aligned with OISE requirements and internal and external client needs; be aware of the impact of decisions and actions concerning client and company satisfaction.
