Transition to Preschool or Kindergarten-The NDT Perspective for Classroom Participation Presented by Jane Styer-Acevedo, PT, DPT, C/NDT December 5-6, 2014 Charlottesville, VA This two day course applies the principles and theory behind Neuo-Developmental Treatment Approach as a basis for classroom therapeutic intervention. Emphasis is placed on maximizing the functional abilities of the child in the school environment (in the areas of classroom and playground mobility, self-care, play skills and fine motor tasks) and being a team member with the classroom staff and family. Experiential learning is utilized for analysis and treatment strategies via lab experiences and observation of treatment demonstrations and videos.
