MIRACOSTA COLLEGE CLASS TITLE: COMMUNITY SERVICES AIDE BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director, Community Services perform a variety of general clerical duties related to operations of the Community Services programs and services. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: 1. Enter and update computer records such as tracking budget expenditures, entering purchase and personnel requisitions, IntelliResponse entries, enter classes in schedule of Community Service classes. (E) 2. Work with Community Service instructors once hired to confirm dates of classes, return of confirmation letters, input AV requests etc. (E) 3. Complete daily deposit of cash and checks. (E) 4. Follow up on event planning details for contract training, including instructor logistics, MOUs, and invoicing. (E) 5. Work with vendors to confirm and trouble shoot orders for goods and services. 6. Make travel arrangements for department staff. 7. Collect, compile, verify and record information for the preparation of reports and summaries. 8. Work with Director to create collateral materials for marketing classes, such as flyers, postcard mailers and other advertisement materials. 9. Post and maintain routine records, logs and files; sort and file materials alphabetically or numerically. (E) 10. Assemble, duplicate, package and distribute various marketing and informational materials. 11. Update department web pages. 12. Perform related duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and one to two years of generally related experience. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver license. May work at any district location or authorized facility during day and/or evening hours with occasional evenings, and/or weekends on an as-needed basis. Occasional local travel may be requested.
