POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Manager, Student Activities Exempt CATEGORY: GRADE: Professional D JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for management, development, implementation, and monitoring activities of the District’s Student Activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Develop, plans, implements, and manages social, cultural, and student organizational activities. Coordinates, develops, and publishes student activity calendar. Serves as a student liaison, as needed, with District Departments and community services/organizations. YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 30% 2. Manage District’s Identification Card system for students, faculty, and staff, to include issuing of cards and maintenance of supplies and equipment. 20% 3. Design and create banners and flyers promoting activities within the District. 25% 4. Coordinates a variety of fiscally related tasks to include monitoring of expenditures, verifies charges and resolves issues; purchasing of necessary equipment and supplies; and equipment repair and service. 25% REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Director, Student Activities & Leadership SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Staff assigned to work area BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES: None ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 5 years SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Equipment Used: Personal Computer, Identification System, and other equipment associated with an office environment. 3. Software Used: A variety of graphic, spreadsheet, word-processing, database, e-mail, and presentation software. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Duties require little physical effort in work with moderately heavy (10lbs. To 50lbs), easy to handle materials. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to long periods of standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion.
