POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Research Associate Exempt CATEGORY: GRADE: Professional D JOB SUMMARY: Provide a variety of research material and analyses to staff and clients in support of college planning, resource allocation and decision-making processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 30% 1. Identify, develop and maintain a variety of research material and analyses to staff and clients in support of college planning, resource allocation and decision-making efforts. 2. Design instruments for data collection; conduct feasibility studies and surveys; perform statistical analyses and interpretation of data. 25% 3. Collect, record, categorize all research material; maintain institutional databases and records. 20% 4. Respond to client requests; assess informational needs to those requesting assistance; assist in design of research and evaluation studies, as requested. 15% 5. Assist with the development and preparation of written and oral reports, workshop and/or seminar presentation, as requested by staff. 10% REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Master’s degree. EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years experience. SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Skills/Abilities: Proficient computer skills, effective verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills; proficient computer skills and detail oriented. 2. Equipment Used: Personal Computer and other equipment associated with an office environment. 3. Software Used: A variety of spreadsheet, word-processing, database, e-mail, and presentation software. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to long periods of standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion.
