POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: EXTENDED TITLE: FLSA STATUS: Manager Manager, Retention Action Program Exempt CATEGORY: Professional GRADE: D JOB SUMMARY: Develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate the district’s Retention Action Program (RAP) instructional support program which facilitates learning for the Career and Technology students. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: YEARLY PERCENT OF TIME 35% 1. Oversee the successful implementation of the RAP program in keeping with proposed goals and objectives to include regular program evaluation and continuous improvement. 2. Provide management, direction, and guidance to staff, including orientation, performance appraisal, coaching, and professional growth. 25% 3. Recruit, select, and train learning facilitators and tutors in learning strategies, and in important skills-sets that students will carry on to the workplace. 10% 4. Coordinate internally with College faculty and staff for the identification and referral of students. 10% 5. Responsible for the development and implementation of an individualized education plan based upon each student’s pre-assessment diagnostic test and individual academic needs. Provide students with guidance and advising regarding their chosen program of study and occupational choice. 10% 6. Responsible for the development and implementation of a data base management system used for the formulation of reports, internal audit, and budget accounting as per local, state and federal law. 5% 7.
