Minutes for Meeting of November 11, 2013
A meeting of ASCAP was held on Monday, November 11 at 3:00 p.m. in Holden Hall 129. Committee members
present were: Gretchen Adams, Jim Barrick, Scott Baugh, Nelson Dometrius, Art Durband, Matt Olson, Travis
Roach, and David Roach. Presenters: Drs. Hawkins and Baehr (English), Dr. Smith (ENTX), Drs. Densmore,
McIntyre, and Keyel (Biology), Drs. Cohen and Littlefield (Psychology), and Dr. Barkdull (Political Science).
1.
The committee voted to recommend to the next level of consideration the following proposal from the
Department of English:
 Add ENGL 2312 Texts and Technologies.
2.
The committee voted to table the following proposal from the Department of Environmental Toxicology
pending further information:
 Add ENTX 6361 Wildlife Toxicology.
3.
Pending minor revisions, the committee voted to recommend to the next level of consideration the
following proposals from the Department of Biology:
 Change number, title, and description for BIOL 3310 Experimental Cell Biology.
 Add ZOOL 4421 Field Herpetology.
4.
Pending minor revisions, the committee voted to recommend to the next level of consideration the
following proposal from the Department of Psychology:
 Change number and hours for PSY 5360 Structural Equation Modeling.
5.
The committee voted to recommend the following proposal from the Department of Political Science:
 Needed curriculum corrections for the Global Studies program.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of ASCAP is scheduled for Monday, November 25, for proposals that reach
the committee and the Dean’s office by Monday, November 18.
