Job Description – Marketing and Partnerships Manager - Consultant
The postholder will be responsible for managing the marketing strategy for the fundraising
team and will raise funds through direct marketing campaigns, populating a strong
database, developing digital giving, and building relationships with independent schools.
They will promote the school to existing and new donors and develop a wide mix of
communications for a range of funding audiences. They will also identify marketing and PR
opportunities for fundraising. The job will entail:
Developing marketing to support the fundraising strategy
•
To work with the Director of Development to deliver an effective marketing strategy.
•
Develop and deliver tactical marketing initiatives for a wide range of donor audiences
•
Design communication streams and materials for various SCSC audiences including:
volunteers, Friends, donors, corporates/partnerships, universities, schools and
parents.
•
Develop marketing to support the new SCS major donor programme
•
Co-ordinate the promotion of SCS at outside venues and events or to corporate and
major donors.
•
Undertake a check on a monthly basis, the return on investment for all marketing
activities to ensure their effectiveness and value for money.
Event organising
•
With the fundraising team, organise major donor and fundraising events and lead on
developing events communications.
Digital content and campaign management
•
Develop and deliver 2-3 fundraising campaigns a year and work with the
Development board to manage the on-going Pigs4Kids campaign.
•
Lead the marketing task group to develop the Swiss Cottage School Charity website
and mobile giving as part of an integrated marketing campaign.
•
Develop and deliver the charity’s social media strategy, building brand awareness,
generating inbound traffic and encouraging internal and external participation on
Facebook, Twitter and other future sources of social media as they develop.
•
Develop the fundraising marketing database.
Press and public relations management
•
Actively establish and maintain relationships with members of the press and media
including writing copy for weekly and monthly publications.
Internal communications

internal communications – advising on developing a fundraising culture in the school
and with volunteers.
