2015 - a year of fundraising When it comes to fundraising, you sometimes need a bit of inspiration… so we’ve created an all-year-round guide of seasonal fundraising ideas to help get you started. January Celebrate Chinese New Year with an evening of Chinese food, music, and fireworks. February Put you and your friends’ baking skills to the test in a Valentine’s Day bake sale. Join in the Burns Night fun by holding a ceilidh (Google it!) Hold a recycling ‘trashion’ catwalk show during London Fashion Week. March April Ask your friends or colleagues to wear green for St Patrick’s Day. Have a right laugh on April Fool’s day by organising a Comedy Night. Paint the town red for the Hindu festival of Holi. Chase some chocolate with an Easter Egg hunt. May June Celebrate May Day with a picnic in the park. Serve strawberries and cream at a Wimbledon-themed afternoon tea party. Hold your own Eurovision karaoke competition or sweepstake (dix points!) Invite friends round to share in the feast of Iftar one evening in Ramadam. Charge entry for your event or ask for a donation. July August Fire up the barbie and hold a BBQ Kick off the football season with a friendly mini tournament. Vive la France! Mark Bastille Day with a French-themed day in your school or office. Take the Edinburgh Festival home and bring the house down with your very own variety show. September October Organise a camp night with kumbaya, stargazing and toasted marshmallows for the Summer Equinox. Get creative and organise a pumpkin-carving competition with your neighbours. Hold a back-to-school second-hand books and uniform sale. Challenge your mates to an oldschool conker tournament. November December Penny for the guy, Guv? Set up a stall at your local Bonfire Night celebrations Welcome in the festive season with a carolsinging session. Cook up a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner for your family and friends complete with American games. Have a Chanukah tea party with traditional food and dreidel games.
