Motion by Bice seconded by Ihrke to approve the minutes of the May 13th meeting. Motion carried
unanimously.

FINANCIAL STATEMENT
Motion by Bice seconded by Ihrke to approve the financial statement for April, 2014. Motion carried
unanimously. Revenue for April totaled $1,819,753.58. Expenditures for April, 2014 were as follows:
General Fund $222,332.45; Road Use $27,588.49; Trust & Agency $39,585.18; Economic Dev
$1,032.50; Friends/Library $5,952.25; City Hall Facilities Project $5,251.62; Memorial Park Renovation
$6,461.31; East Lake Industrial Park $14,436.26; Hill Ave Sidewalk/Trail $1,770.00; Water $105,680.56;

INTRODUCTION OF OKOBOJI TOURISM DIRECTOR
Carina Woodward introduced herself to the Mayor and Council as the new Okoboji Tourism Director.
The Mayor and Council welcomed Woodward and stated they looked forward to working with her.
ALLIANT ENERGY ANNUAL REPORT
Rebecca Gisel, Account Manager, presented the 2013 Alliant Energy Community Partnership
Assessment.
2010 SPIRIT LAKE ZONING MAP
PUBLIC HEARING
The Mayor announced that this is the time and place to consider the rezoning of certain properties located
within the corporate limits of Spirit Lake, Iowa. After receiving no oral or written comments, the Mayor
closed the public hearing.
ORDINANCE NO. 3-2014
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPIRIT LAKE, IOWA, REZONING CERTAIN
PROPERTIES LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SPIRIT LAKE,
DICKINSON COUNTY, IOWA
ADOPT FIRST CONSIDERATION
Motion by Bice, seconded by Thee, to approve the first consideration of Ordinance No. 3-2014. Motion
carried unanimously.
RESOLUTION NO. 2014-50
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF HEARING OF ZONING
CERTAIN PROPERTIES LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SPIRIT LAKE,
DICKINSON COUNTY, IOWA

PEORIA AVENUE PCC RECREATIONAL TRAIL PROJECT

APPOINTMENT TO DICKINSON COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY
Motion by Bice, seconded by Chappas, to approve the appointment of Dennis Langstraat to the Dickinson
County Airport Authority. Motion carried unanimously.
