After studying Leisure & tourism and gaining various qualifications within the hospitality
sector I wanted to put these to go use and liked the idea of working within the hotel sector,
After Leaving college it was a real struggle to find a role within the hospitality industry that
didn’t require some form of hotel experience so after various roles including bar work and
several reception positions I spotted and applied for the a receptionist position at
Tankersley, I got the job and have never looked back since. I quickly progressed on
reception and within 12 months a junior position within the Events team became available
in which I applied and got the role after several months in this role I was awarded Employee
of the Quarter within the events role I have also been awarded the Sheffield Hospitalities –
shooting star ward.
In time people came and left the events office and eventually the office and the roles changed
and I was promoted from junior to coordinator, which gave me the opportunity to gain
more experience and knowledge, after a while again roles changed and was promoted to
my current role senior weddings and events coordinator,
