TR increased to 15 s, max. number of slices increased to 64, slice thickness and FOV are afforded a finer adjustment. Some default values were also changed without changing the parameter limits. Gradient safety: Gradient switching rate has not been increased. Parameter meanings, limits and defaults: Recommended matrix size 160 x 256, RFOV 5/8 Target voxel size 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.4 mm3 with 64 contiguous interleaved slices TE1 = 22 ms, TE2 = 90 ms are fixed Fat saturation and inferior saturation slab 50 mm are recommended Usage notes: Typical TR is about 12 s, giving total acquisition time approximately 6.5 min. With basic approximately transverse slice orientation, chose the phase-encode direction from left to right and use 100% matrix 160 x 256 with no oversampling. In combination with RFOV 5/8, this leads to a convenient voxel size without adverse filtering effects (see above).
