Typhoon state (Data source: Central Weather Bureau) The sea warnings of medium-strength typhoon Dujuan were in effected on Sept. 27th, 2015 8:30, and land warnings on 17:30. It landed from Xiulin Township of Hualien County today (8th) at 4:40. The level of typhoon in 22:00 today (28th) was still remain in severe. The eye of the storm in 22:00 today (28th) were at 24.0 Lat (N), 120.7 Lon (E), the 20 kilometers south of Taichung; the radius with 7 wind level was 220 km and one with 10 wind level was 80 km, moving at 20 kilometers per hour and is now heading to west-north-west and turning to northwest. The maximum sustained wind near the center was 51 meter per sec. (approx. 184 km/h.), which equaled to level 16 wind. The transient wind was 63 meter per sec. (approx. 227 km/h.), which equaled to level 17 wind. The estimation position tomorrow (29th) 20:00 is at 26.5 Lat (N), 117.5 Lon (E), the 240 kilometers west of Matsu. The latest data indicated that the typhoon Dujuan has landed from Nanou Village, Yilan in 17:40 today (28th) and is heading to the west-north-west. The radius has covered areas in Taiwan and Penghu and threatening the place plus Kinmen and Matsu. Areas are experiencing strong winds and rains. The strength if typhoon, however, will keep decrease. Land warning zone: All areas in Taiwan (include Lanyu and Green Island) and Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu should take extra precaution and prevent for strong winds and heavy rains. Sea warning zone: Fishing boats at seas around Taiwan and Bashi Channel should be alert. For the effect of typhoon, the winds and rains are becoming stronger and heavier. The hangers, signboards, fences and scaffolds should be reinforced, pots placed on balcony should be placed well and drains should be cleaned. Personnel in mountain areas should watch out for landslide, rock fall and mudslide; avoid the flash flood of river and should not perform the activity at mountain and river areas. Coast areas in Taiwan (include Lanyu and Green Island) are having high waves and activity on or nearby the sea should be avoided. Considering of the coinciding events of typhoon and super spring tide, coasts and low-lying areas should prevent for the flood and seawater encroachment.
