MCU 2014-15 Procedures for On-campus Regular Exercise
1. Mission: in correspondence with the MOE Healthy Physical Fitness On-campus Project, the
university encourages all faculty and staff and students to participate in regular
exercise so as to enhance the good health and physical fitness of all.
2. Responsible Unit: Physical Education Office
3. Relevant Information:
(1) Exercise Periods: September 22, 2014 to January 2, 2015. for total of 14 weeks, once a
week, and 50 minutes each time.
(2) Venues: Taipei and Taoyuan campus.
To Whom to Submit: Taipei campus, Instructor Huang, Bee-Yueh(2327);
Taoyuan campus, Instructor Liao, Chun-Chin (3525).
4. Participation Eligibility: all MCU faculty and staff members and students may register to
participate.
5. Implementation:
(1) Starting from September15, 2014, please sign up on Taipei or Taoyuan Physical
Education Office .
(2) Sports Activities:
a. Faculty and Staff members: badminton, table tennis, aerobic yoga, basketball, golf
and walking.
b. Students: badminton, table tennis,aerobic yoga, golf and walking.
6. Awards for Students :
(1) Individuals who attend class sessions for more than 10 weeks by the end of each
semester will be cited with a 2nd Level Merit.
(2)
Individuals who attend class sessions for more than 8 weeks by the end of each
semester will be cited with two Recognitions.
(3) Individuals who attend class sessions for more than 6 weeks by the end of each
semester will be cited with Recognition.
(4) To encourage outstanding individuals and to increase participation rate, the name list
will be announced on the Physical Education Office bulletin and website.
7. Faculty and staff members who attend 6 or more class sessions will be recognized with one
stamp in their Lifelong Learning Passport.
8. Features:
(1) Encourage learners to actively participate and establish regular exercise habits through
group exercise and inspiration.
(2) Instruct learners on correct concept of losing weight and emphasis on regular exercise
to achieve self-health management.
(3) Lectures will be provided by professional faculty members of the Physical Education
Office to guide participants in correct exercise methods through relaxed and pleasant
ways to avoid sports injury.
9. Upon being approved by the president, these procedures were implemented. Any revision
must follow the same procedure.
