SWBAT:
1. practice elements for Celebration of Learning Monday.

3. separation of mixture lab- identify how and why compounds
are separated when using chromatography paper
W-UP:
1. How would you try and separate components in ink?
LAB:
Materials: 30cm long strip of green paper
-fold at 15cm
-fold 3cm tabs at both ends

-10.5cm strip of chromatography paper
-Draw a line using an ink pen across the chroma
paper about 1cm from the bottom.
-Fold long strip in half and nestle the chromatography paper
inside and staple it about 0.5cm from the fold. This will allow
for the green paper to support the chroma paper over the
petrie dish.
- place the tabs under the dish so the chroma paper hangs
down into the dish about half depth.
Complete a modified lab report: Due Monday 9/28.
