Brothers, we are about to open this council in the 1st section. All persons not having received the honors of
membership in the 1st section shall please retire from the chamber. The doors shall now be closed and the guards
assume their positions

Brothers, let us invoke the Divine blessing by repeating aloud the Lord’s Prayer. [4 raps]

our council and for the entire Knights of Columbus organization... Lord, we also ask that you watch over all our
brother knights and their families who struggle with job and financial situations. Help us have strength,
understanding, and above all Faith during these trying times. While we are being continually tested… we know that
you are always there beside us in our time of need. We ask that our Blessed Mother keep us under the mantle of
her protection. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
